Villamartin Golf Club Local Rules updated October 2025

Dress Code 

It is expected that all Players observe the Club dress Code which is clearly displayed at the Caddy Masters Office, in the Changing Rooms and on the Notice board.

Such illustrations are to be regarded as sensible guidelines to achieve acceptable general dress standards at all times; Players may be requested to leave the course if this standard is not maintained.

On Course Behaviour

1. To follow all directing signs ensuring that buggies and trolleys are kept well away from tees, greens, ropes, lines and other sensitive course areas.

2. Slow players or players in difficulty must call the following games through to keep up with the game in front.

3. To rake all bunkers thoroughly upon exit.

4. Replace all divots.

5. Repair pitch marks on greens.

All Rules of Golf apply as well as these Local Rules

OUT OF BOUNDS. Over white stakes, boundary walls, fences, hedges, practice areas and workshops (Rule 18.2)

PENALTY AREAS.  All Penalty Areas are marked by yellow or red stakes (Rule 17)

IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS. All artificial roads and paths, (with the exception of the 10th fairway which is a Penalty Area) drainage grills, steps, permanent buildings and internal walls are treated as immovable obstructions from which a free drop is allowed (Rule 16.1)  The player also has these extra options to take relief when immovable obstructions such as sprinkler heads are close to the putting green and on the line of play:

a. Within two club lengths of the putting green and

b. Within two club lengths of the ball.

c. Exception: There is no relief if line of play is clearly unreasonable. 

INTEGRAL PARTS OF THE COURSE Culverts, bridge supports, boundary walls, fences and hedges; a ball must be played as it lies or declared unplayable under penalty of one stroke (Rule 16.1).

1st, 2nd and 7th HOLES BOUNDARY FENCES.  A ball coming to rest beyond any boundary fences along the road running through the course by the 2nd fairway is out of bounds.

2nd HOLE BOUNDARY FENCE. Ground alongside the fence on the left-hand side of the hole is marked as Ground Under Repair and the player is entitled to a free drop, one club length from the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole (Rule 16.1)

STAKED TREES.  If a Players ball lies anywhere on the course, other than in a penalty area and it touches such a tree or such a tree interferes with the players stance or area of intended swing, the Player must take relief, without penalty (Rule 16.1)

DROPPING ZONES. (15th and 17th holes) 15th For the pond behind the green only (as an additional option) a Drop Zone is provided to the Right of the pond.  17th If a ball is lost from tee to green or found and defined unplayable, the player may as an additional option drop a ball (under penalty of one stroke) in the Drop Zone near to the bridge.

BUNKERS. Crevices in the bunkers formed by running water damage is considered an Abnormal Course Condition, free drop allowed within the bunker (Rule 16.1c) Drop under two shot penalty outside the bunker.

PREFERRED LIES.  To promote fair play in adverse conditions a "Competition Committee" may apply Preferred Lies. The Committee shall then, in detail, define where and how this is available.

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES. Match Play - Loss of hole: Stroke Play - 2 strokes.

Código de Vestimenta

Se espera que todos los jugadores cumplan con el Código de Vestimenta del Club, que se expone claramente en la Oficina del Caddie Master, en los Vestuarios y en el Tablón de Anuncios.

Estas ilustraciones deben considerarse pautas sensatas para mantener un estándar de vestimenta general aceptable en todo momento; se podrá pedir a los jugadores que abandonen el campo si no se mantiene este estándar.

Conducta en el Campo

1. Seguir todas las señales de dirección, asegurándose de que los carritos y buggies se mantengan alejados de los tees, greens, cuerdas, líneas y otras zonas sensibles del campo.

2. Los jugadores lentos o con dificultades deben dar paso a los siguientes jugadores para mantener el ritmo del juego anterior.

ÁREAS DE PENALIZACIÓN. Todas las Áreas de Penalización están marcadas con estacas amarillas o rojas (Regla 17). 

OBSTRUCCIONES INAMOVIBLES. Todos los caminos y senderos artificiales (con excepción del camino a la izquierda del hoyo 10, que es un Área de Penalización), rejillas de drenaje, escalones, edificios permanentes y muros internos se consideran obstrucciones inamovibles. El jugador tiene derecho a alivio sin penalización (Regla 16.1). El jugador también tiene estas opciones adicionales para aliviarse cuando obstrucciones inamovibles, como aspersores, se encuentran cerca del green y en la línea de juego:

1. A una distancia de dos palos del green  

2. A ​​una distancia de dos palos de la bola. 

3. No hay alivio si la línea de juego es claramente irrazonable.

PARTES INTEGRANTES DEL CAMPO

VALLAS DE LOS HOYOS 1, 2 y 7

Una bola que se detenga más allá de cualquier valla de los límites a lo largo del camino que atraviesa el campo junto a la calle  está fuera de límites.

VALLA DE LOS LÍMITES DEL HOYO 2

El terreno junto a la valla, a la izquierda del hoyo, está marcado como Terreno en Reparación y el jugador tiene derecho a dropar  sin penalización, a la distancia de un palo del punto de alivio más cercano, no más cerca del hoyo (Regla 16.1). ÁRBOLES CON ESTACAS

Si la bola de un jugador reposa en cualquier lugar del campo, excepto en un área de penalización, y toca un árbol de este tipo, o si este interfiere en el stance del jugador o con el área del swing que pretende realizar, el jugador debe aliviarse sin penalización (Regla 16.1). 

ZONAS DE DROPAJE. (Hoyos 15 y 17). 

Hoyo15. Solo para el estanque detrás del green (como opción adicional), se proporciona una Zona de Dropaje a la derecha del estanque. 

Hoyo17. Si una bola se pierde del tee al green o se encuentra injugable, el jugador puede, como opción adicional, dropar una bola (con un golpe de penalización) en la Zona de Dropaje cerca del puente.

BUNKERS.

Las grietas en los bunkers formadas por agua corriente se consideran una Condición Anormal del Campo; se permite dropar sin penalización dentro del bunker (Regla 16.1c). Se puede dropar con dos golpe de penalización fuera del bunker.

LA BOLA SE COLOCA

Para promover el juego limpio en condiciones adversas, el Comité de Competición podrá decidir si la bola se puede colocar.  El Comité definirá detalladamente cómo y dónde serà realizable.

PENALIZACIÓN POR INCUMPLIMIENTO DE LAS REGLAS LOCALES. Match Play - Pérdida del hoyo; Stroke Play - 2 golpes.

Klädregler

Alla spelare förväntas följa klubbens klädregler, vilka tydligt visas vid Caddymaster, i omklädningsrummen och på anslagstavlan.

Illustrationerna ska ses som rimliga riktlinjer för att upprätthålla en god klädstandard vid alla tillfällen. Spelare kan bli ombedda att lämna banan om dessa standarder inte följs.

Beteende på banan

1. Följ alla skyltar och anvisningar. Bilar och vagnar ska hållas väl borta från tees, greener, rep, linjer och andra känsliga områden.

2. Långsamt spel eller spelare i svårigheter måste släppa igenom bakomvarande boll för att hålla tempot mot bollen framför.

3. Kratta bunkrar noggrant vid utgång.

4. Lägg tillbaka uppslagna torvor.

5. Laga nedslagsmärken på greenerna.

Samtliga golfregler gäller utöver dessa lokala regler

Out of Bounds

Över vita pinnar, stenmurar, stängsel, häckar, övningsområden och verkstadsområden (regel 18.2).

Pliktområden

Alla pliktområden är markerade med gula eller röda pinnar (regel 17).

Oflyttbara tillverkade föremål

Alla konstgjorda vägar och stigar (med undantag för 10:e fairway som är ett pliktområde), dräneringsgaller, trappor, permanenta byggnader och interna murar räknas som oflyttbara tillverkade föremål. Fri dropp medges (regel 16.1).

Extra lättnadsalternativ gäller när sprinklerhuvuden och liknande ligger nära green och på spellinjen:

a) Inom två klubblängder från greenens kant, och

b) Inom två klubblängder från bollen.

Undantag: Ingen lättnad om spellinjen är uppenbart orimlig.

Integrerade delar av banan

Trummor, brofundament, gränsmurar, stängsel och häckar. Bollen måste spelas som den ligger, eller förklaras ospelbar med ett slags plikt (regel 16.1).

1:a, 2:a och 7:e hålen – gränsstaket

En boll som stannar bortom något av gränsstaketen längs vägen vid 2:a fairway är out of bounds.

2:a hålet – vänster sida

Marken intill vänstra staketet är markerad som Mark Under Reparation (GUR). Spelaren har rätt till fri dropp, en klubblängd från närmaste lättnadspunkt, ej närmare hål (regel 16.1).

Uppbundna träd

Om en boll ligger på banan (ej i pliktområde) och vidrör ett uppbundet träd eller om trädet hindrar stansen eller svingen, måste spelaren ta fri lättnad (regel 16.1).

Droppzoner – hål 15 och 17

15:e hålet: Endast för dammen bakom green finns en droppzon till höger om dammen.

17:e hålet: Om bollen är förlorad från tee till green eller ospelbar, får spelaren som extra alternativ droppa i droppzonen vid bron (ett slags plikt).

Bunkrar

Rännor eller fåror i bunkrar orsakade av vattenrädsla räknas som onormala banförhållanden. Fri dropp medges i bunkern (regel 16.1c). Dropp utanför bunkern med två slags plikt.

Lägga boll bättre (Preferred Lies)

För att möjliggöra rättvist spel under svåra förhållanden kan tävlingskommittén tillåta ”preferred lies”. Kommittén anger då exakt var och hur detta gäller.

Plikt vid brott mot lokala regler

Matchspel: Förlust av hål

Slagspel: Två slags plikt
